Psychedelic Porn Crumpets were formed in Perth in 2014. Founder Jack McEwan describes the music as a psych rock creative mess that is “a bit heavy”, and not concerned with genre. The five piece band has released six studio albums and has toured relentlessly across the globe. The band built their reputation around the pubs of Western Australia and have won awards for their recordings, live show and videos. Their most recent album, Fronzoli, was described by US CBS News as “another hectic and mind-bending exploration of lysergic riffs, demented soundbites and memorable melodies.

Emerging from basement performances in Bloomington Illinois, Frankie and the Witch Fingers were formed by Dylan Sizemore along with Glenn Brigman and Josh Menashe in 2013. They released their first studio album Sidewalk on a cassette in 2013, and have gone on to release a total of seven studio albums and two live albums. Now based in Los Angeles, they are signed to Brooklyn’s Greenway Records. Talking about their most recent single release, Bonehead, on the heels of 2023 full length Data Doom, the band declared on their Bandcamp: "In a world where it’s easy to add more, we had a blast cooking out the junk and keeping it potent and pure. We wanted to capture the chaotic energy of those unfiltered live moments. Recorded the basics in one take, warts and all.

As best described by KUTX 98.9, Nolan Potters Nightmare Band most recent release, The Perils of Being Trapped Inside a Head as "Dreamy and lucid keys, strings, drum corps, slippery guitar and buff bass, ripe flutes and breezy vocals. For fans of Embryo, the Mothers, Pink Floyd, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Moody Blues, the Stark Reality, and Placebo." As the name suggests, the band is in fact the project of Austin's Nolan Potter, which he formed in 2018. The band had a lineup change in 2022, following up with their third studio album, Honey, in 2023. The band is known for consistently performing in their home town.

Model/Actriz

With family roots dating back to their fathers playing in a band together, founding members Ruben Radluauer and Jack Wetmore reconnected at Boston's Berkeley School of Music and in 2015 formed Model/Actriz after seeing singer Cole Haden perform and inviting him to join. Their debut full length album, Dogsbody, was release in 2023 with Pitchfork declaring "Both as performer and writer, Haden aims to make a harrowing, provocative, often hilarious mess of all of it, and succeeds wildly." As NME noted about Haden "As a queer frontman in a traditionally undiverse genre, Model/Actriz frontman Cole Haden understandably doesn't like being labeled "post-punk." "There’s always room for more queer voices in darker music,” he tells NME.
